I was thinking DC Comics could probably just publish Wizard's cover without their permission (since Tom Smith has these on his computer), so why didn't they ?
As a formality, I think DC would have still had to ask Wizard to have the cover re-published.
If I were Wizard, and DC published my covers, I would be a little upset.
But still, it's NOT that difficult to ask Wizard, hey can we use this? I don't know what DC was doing....
By the way, I saw the Hardcover at another comic shop, the outer slipcase (similiar to the Crisis Slipcase) is the cover to JLA/AVENGERS #3.

Are you refering to the Wizard art ? It was colored by the Wizard staff... I can check the issue to see if credit was given, but it might not likely be listed.

It is earlier than usual, but I wanted to start this before I forget.
Leave your well-wishes for George's 50th birthday here and I will be posting comments on June 9th on the front page.
I will start first:
What can I say that haven't been said already, George Perez is the nicest guy and have inspired me to draw more often. I will always remember the first time I bought CRISIS #1 and marveled at all the great art in the book. It wouldn't be too long before I started buying TEEN TITANS because it had the art
It's funny how things ended up this way - me, running a website on George Perez... when about six or seven years ago I thought George would NEVER know the dedication (the obsession!) I have about buying every comic book that featured Perez art.... Then I found out that, of course, I'm not alone. There are so many fans out there that's even crazier than I am !
I believe George is on vacation in Europe, for his 50th birthday... which is much-deserved after that dreaded JLA/AVENGERS #3, haha.

This is not a rumor, this is truth, he does have tendonitis as a result from drawing the cover to JLA/AVENGERS #3.

I think by the same token, there hasn't been disputes to the new date in question... You would think that they would make some official annoucement though....
