I think I have to go with New Teen Titans 21 (the Baxter version). The image of the Titans fallen in the know imaged within Cheshire's green costume has always been one of the most striking covers of the series to me. I had dropped Titans before that issue, but later, I had to have that one for the cover alone.
It's everything a photoshop user like me wishes I could draw myself rather than use an application to do so. George's artwork her is truly amazing.

TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS #44That is my favorite cover of the Teen Titans by George Perez. The cover introduces three new characters, all in a very heroic stance. In each of the background, it tells the story of the character. This is definitely one of the best cover ever made! TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS #44Jul 1984 $0.75 DC Comics "There Shall Come A Titan" (25 pages) writer: Marv Wolfman penciler: George PĂ©rez inks: Mike DeCarlo/Dick Giordano

well george's cover in titans really started to kick butt in this series but the only thing better than the cover to new teen titans 38-'who is donna troy', was the story. i really like the way perez mixed color w/black and white during this period.

New Teen Titans #26 has to be one of the best. "Call Them Runaways" was one of those stories that honestly had the greatest impact on me as a reader. I had stopped buying NTT and when I saw that cover I bought it immediately. With the Titans in the background looking over the kids running through the rain, the emotion coming from the entire cover quite simply struck a nerve with me.

Definitely NTT #34 -- with the Terminator shooting through the picture of the Titans.
I was already a huge Perez fan at the time, but never really got into the Titans. This was the cover that convinced me to give it another shot -- and with that issue I was hooked instantly -- GP/MW's run on the NTT is my favorite run of all comicdom.

Thanks for the response guys and gals, keep them coming. One thing I do need is your name attached, so I know who I'm giving credit to, when I print the issue, unless you want it with your internet handle. Tony L TLorenz101@aol.com

My favorite cover is THE NEW TEEN TITANS #33 (1983): "Who Killed Tident?" The image of Trident floating face down in the water surrounded by the reflected images of the Titans, the moon and the pier is just simply jarring. The handle of the weapon leaps off the cover in a great 3-D effct (along with the warm colors of Trident's costume with the cool green of the water). What makes the cover stand out even more is that it doubles as the first panel of the rest of the book. The cover BEGINS the story along with being representational of the interior tale. Just looking at the cover makes me want to read this issue again and again.

For me one of the more memorable Titans covers had to be the second New Teen Titans Annual that introduced the new Vigilante. It's striking in its overall design with Vigilante at the center of the piece, a headshot of Wonder Girl on the left and Robin on the right with the other Titans portraits in the crosshairs of Vigilante's rifle target scope (a great device repeated later on in the annual). It's obvious from their placement that Wonder Girl and Robin are on opposite sides of the conflict that the team faces in this issue, while the Titans themselves wind up being in the crosshairs of a criminal organization who go to extremes to eliminate them. Vigilante serves as the mysterious wild card element throughout the story as he does on the cover. He blends into the background and strikes from the shadows, an unknown factor with a hidden agenda, until his identity is revealed towards the end of the story.
The fun thing about looking at that cover after you've read the story, is realizing how tightly it's tied into the various points of the storyline without really giving anything away. It also shows off Perez's skill as an artist who composes a dramatic image using not much more than subtle line work with heavy blacks that make up the city backdrop and the Vigilante's costume. It's just one of those wonderfully rendered pieces that would be just as strong an image with no color added later. As far as introduction covers for a new character go, this was one of Perez's better jobs in a long line of great Titans covers.
