I keep re-reading JLAvengers #4 and keep finding really cool stuff that make me mark-out like a toothless wrestling fan!
And it is the little things that I love most about the issue:
Captain Marvel (Photon) warning Captains Mar-Vell and Marvel (Shazam) which lead to... Mar-Vell decking Black Adam and The Big Red Cheese whoopin' on Ronan The Accusor Balck Manta teaming up with Attuma and his Barbarians Jack of Hearts confronting The Royal Flush Gang Superman punked out by villians Radioactive Man and Solarr (who woulda thunk it) The fire and ice based heroes and villians tearing into each other Despero kicking his OWN ass (yeah, the "good" Despero is inhabited by L-Ron, I know...but still) Thor puts down Doomsday in ONE PANEL
Good stuff...
The ONLY thing about JLAvengers that I didn't like was the exclusion of Jarvis on the cover of issue three. Busiek's reasoning was a load of bull! he said that Jarvisis only "staff" and not a member. Hell-Ooooo.... what the devil do you think Dale Gunn and Catherine Corbet are MISTER Busiek writer-man? But, as I just stated, if that is the ONLY thing I didn't like about the series, I really don't have much to gripe about.
And the characterization of the JLAvengers as they prepare for the final battle is better than ANY I have seen in a super-hero book for a long time now.
Great art, great action, and great chacterization. I am a happy lad!

OH YEAH...I really LOVED that after all the so-called "DC bias" in this book that it was the members of the League became, in essence, Avengers unsder the leadership of Captain America. "Avengers Assemble!" Blatant Marvel bias...BIAS I tell you!!!

Well you know me, I still do not understand what the Thor/Superman deal is. To me, it's not even a big deal, and yet we have all these fans crying bloody murder.... I think sometime it's a bless that it is Marvel "lost" against DC. I would think it would be worst if it were DC that "lost" to Marvel. Who knows, maybe we're all grown up and just accept the story as it is
