This is a message from the seller:
On Dec-28-04 at 07:15:08 PST, seller added the following information:
After recieving an email to bring to my attention the authenticity of the two Batgirl pieces by George Perez or rather questioning the authenticity. I have gone back to the sellers website and have found the pieces to be in fact by Al Vey and Georges Perez. Sorry for all the confusion. Who would have thought there would be a George(s) Perez out there.
(He still believes they're by George Perez).

Being the six year anniversary of www.george-perez.com, I wanted to introduce myself for those who don't know who I am. This is not not really an official website, if the random blogs haven't hinted it already. The website have been maintained by me, Vu, since 9 December 1998. I have been collecting and archiving all sorts of 'news', because I am obsessive and I am a geek. This site currently has 5,000 news item and about 3,000 checklist items. Part of the appeal of running a website by myself, and being 'human' about it, I think I've met some really great people along the way. This is primarily the reason why I love doing websites. Most of the people I meet on www.george-perez.com are artists, writers, fellow fans, collectors (comics & art), etc. The people I meet on www.louisewener.com are hip, indie, cool, and (mostly younger) women.... Yes, this is a chick magnet !! Just kidding. My www.s-m-a-s-h.tk generate older Punk fans and Morrissey usually lends itself to more depressing people. Haven't heard much from Echobelly or Belle & Sebastian, but I suspect those fans are shy (but mostly because no one visits them). So, anyroad, yeah, a lot of interesting types of people... and I can always use the new friendship. Because, face it, I have no social skills. At all. So, many thanks for your continuing support. Feel free to leave any feedback or comments here, you do not need to register to post. If you do not want it display in public, you can always privately email me as well.

I hope those figures aren't the final designs, yikes, they're ugly.
My biggest problem with the DC Direct figures are that they are basically just plastic statues. They might, if you're lucky, have four or five points of articulation, so I'm hoping that the new figures have more poseability. It doesn't look like it from the photographs.
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what Wave Two looks like.

From Spencer: ATTENTION: GEORGE PEREZ fans. Here we have HISTORY being offered for the first time in 22 years. Offered up for sale is the complete Issue # 2 ( 48 pages of artwork) to the SWORDQUEST mini-book "FIREWORLD " PLUS ALL FOUR COVERS to the entire mini series. ( To avoid the question, the covers will NOT be sold separately from the interior to Issue # 2 ). There is no price set as the artwork is being sold via offers only. There is a minimum price ( which is VERY reasonable ) the owner is looking for the art. You can view the artwork at this link -- www.theartistschoice.com/qusw.htmlThis will be a FOUR DAY closed auction. All bids must be in my email inbox by 7 PM est Friday, OCTOBER 8th, 2004. If interested in placing a bid, EMAIL ME AT SpencerBck@aol.com. The highest bidder will get the art ( as long as the offer goes over the "hidden" reserve price ). Payment is due IN MY HANDS within 10 days of verification you are the winner. Postage and handling will be based upon where you are located. Payment methods accepted are cash ( at customer's risk) checks ( which must clear the bank before art will be shipped ) Money Orders and Western Union. I DO NOT accept PayPal or Credit Cards. SORRY. Two Final Notes: 1) there will be no updates as to who the highest bidder is, so make your first bid, your best. 2) This artwork is NOT owned by George Perez and is being sold on behalf of a private owner ( who has had the artwork since the comics came out 22 years ago ). GOOD LUCK to those who are interested.
