David - I noticed you have TWO stars now by your name ! By the way, I finally figured out how to log in to this board... It's kind of funny, forgetting your password or user name! Anyroad, I just changed the front page to point to the mailing list or the forum, as the regular website will not be updated until I get my recovery dvd in the mail next week. In the meantime, you can still access the old website at: vu.morrissey-solo.com/moz/perez

Well I guess it's apples & oranges. From what I gather from visiting John Bryne's MB is that he posts a lot (which is a good thing) and he certainly read a lot of threads. In fact, even posting off-topic threads such as movies or television which has nothing to do with John Byrne, etc.
The theory I have is that because someone like John Byrne answers questions/rumors, etc, that is why the messageboard is so popular.
I do not believe George Perez reads (or have time to read) this messageboard. I do not know if he regularly visits the front page (since I shift through news at a pretty good rate), but he does visit it occassionally. Usually any really odd rumors, he will dispute it.
I guess the other thing is that the George Perez website was not built on a stand-alone messageboard, it was originally conceived as a checklist - but then pretty much news was added and became centered around. The messageboard was only recently (2 years ago?) added because of some fans' desires to add their own commentary and thoughts... but it is not the main feature of this website.
I would like more participation, but it really is up to the visitors, which is what all messageboard really is: the sum of participation and contribution. Unless, of course, I start talking to myself...

You have to keep in mind that DC doesn't do a lot of these slipcase hardcovers (especially with an extra companion book). I am 100% sure that DC and Marvel will be releasing a cheaper trade paperback version of the crossover, but the $75 hardcover was for the fans who wanted something extra. It's like this, I see "special packaging" editions DVDs and standard DVDs, if I was a huge fan/liked the movie, I would rather have the special edition over the standard anyway. All I know is that I rather have a special edition of the JLA/Avengers book than have them release a sub standard release. I HATE DC's trade paperback paper, by the way. It's just cheap. I am hoping the Hardcover will contain some heavy paper

All the information is in vu.morrissey-solo.com/moz/perez/info/gpn3.htmincluding plot summaries up to CRIMSON PLAGUE #9. Obviously CRIMSON PLAGUED ended with #2, but there are an almost complete set of pages for #3... Unfortunately the issue is sold out.

I think he's called Impel, he never appeared in any comic. Was scheduled to appear in CRIMSON PLAGUE #4 ( vu.morrissey-solo.com/moz/perez/info/cp4.htm ) Other Taggers names (from cover): Bombshell, Impel, Lady Lace, Nightvision (the one flying), Thermal Unit, and White Kite.

I know it looks deceiving, but I actually took a photograph of that page, the photo didn't turn out so hot.
Since all the info was basically the same thing, and you had already transcribed it, I just shrunk it so you get the idea of what it looked like (with the bold, blue "featured item" showing up)....
You know it's too early and I'm probably not making any sense.
By the way, I did talk to the writer/artist, and it's confirmed that George wrote the introduction. Apparently he's a huge fan of her work.

I haven't bought PREVIEWS for a while now, could you send me a scan of this ?
Yes, this does count as a checklist item.

DC Comics commissioned Marv & George to do a 120-page graphic novel originally... But I am pretty sure that they are added a few more pages (I'm sure there will be a forward written, at the very least.)
I have heard the exact number of pages is 144, but wait and see.
It is coming out around xmas 2004 - but given George's tendonitis and health problems, plus his other works with CrossGen and other projects.... I would not be surprise if it is delayed until 2005.
However, having said that, the comic is pretty much more than half way done.

TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS #44That is my favorite cover of the Teen Titans by George Perez. The cover introduces three new characters, all in a very heroic stance. In each of the background, it tells the story of the character. This is definitely one of the best cover ever made! TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS #44Jul 1984 $0.75 DC Comics "There Shall Come A Titan" (25 pages) writer: Marv Wolfman penciler: George PĂ©rez inks: Mike DeCarlo/Dick Giordano

I thought Trading Post is where you should post stuff you want to sell (ebay), or want to buy... Unless you think that's too vague ?

Just an update, the cover price should be $2.50.
Thanks for checklist additions, Tony, there's always something new going on with George!
